How to Apply

Step 1:

Record a 3-5 minute Mediasite presentation that describes your nominee’s use of webcasting in their organization. Self-nomination is encouraged! Your nomination can speak to your use of either Sonic Foundry’s webcasting platform Mediasite or your work with Sonic Foundry Event Services.

The presentation should answer the following questions:

  • What problem has the nominee solved by webcasting?
  • What makes this initiative different or innovative?
  • What is the primary benefit resulting from this application of webcasting?
  • What measurable results has the organization seen?
  • How will this use of webcasting affect the nominee’s organization in the future?
  • Fill in the blank: Mediasite gives us an edge by ______.

Step 2:

After your presentation is recorded, you will need to complete a short nomination form. In addition to your contact information, you will need to provide a brief written summary of your presentation, and again fill in the blank: Mediasite gives us an edge by _____.

IMPORTANT: The link to your Mediasite presentation is required. If selected as a finalist:

  • Your organization name and presentation will appear in press releases and on the Sonic Foundry website.
  • Your presentation will be shown during the Awards Ceremony.

STUDENT IMPACT SCHOLARSHIPS: Two finalists will be named, along with the universities they attend, for the Student Impact Award. The student runner-up will receive a $1500 scholarship. The winner will receive a $2500 scholarship and that student’s university will also receive a Mediasite RL Recorder.

WIN A RECORDER: The remaining winners and finalists in attendance at UNLEASH, the Mediasite User Conference will have the chance to win a Mediasite RL Recorder during a drawing at the end of the conference. One complimentary UNLEASH conference registration is provided to each finalist organization.
