We’re getting excited about Unleash 2013, and hope your plans to attend are well underway.
On our campus we have a lot of different schools using Mediasite. And yet you realize, when you see this broad array of people using Mediasite at universities and businesses around the world, how many different applications there are for it, and just problems and solutions that I wouldn't have thought of. It's good to be able to learn from other people's experiences.

Unleash is not just a conference. It’s a great experience because there are networking opportunities. I get to meet people from different professional lines. Academia’s here as well as corporate folks and colleagues from other governments. And we get to compare notes. I always learn something new about how Mediasite can be used in another situation, or another way to use Mediasite. Plus, I get to talk to the people who actually created the device. And I learn things from them, as well. Plus, Madison is beautiful.

The countdown is on to the seventh annual Mediasite User Conference, taking place April 28 – May 1 in Madison, Wisconsin. What separates this gathering from the rest is its aversion to cookie-cutter conferencing. Whether you’re an UNLEASH veteran or this is your first year, here are a few things you should know about what’s coming in 2013.
"The Sam M. Walton College of Business was thrilled to be awarded a Rich Media Impact Award. We’ve used Mediasite to deliver dissertations live for faculty members that were traveling, to create training and orientation videos for new staff and faculty, to deliver a few classes across the globe to our partner college in New Delhi, India, and much more. Having this award is a constant reminder of the benefits of webcasting and motivates us to continue communicating to the masses in new and innovative ways."
Campus IT priorities are changing — or are they? Clearly campus IT leaders confront significant budget challenges and as well as the growing demand for additional IT resources and services: going mobile, maintaining IT security, supporting online instruction, migrating to cloud computing, enabling lecture capture, and also updating the institutional IT infrastructure.
