Regional Sales Manager

Primary Purpose

Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the Sonic Foundry business in a given region.

 

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all sales within the region (direct/indirect).
  • Generate sales leads, follow up on internally generated existing leads and support existing customers.
  • Provide demonstrations of the Mediasite product as appropriate.
  • Generate a regional business plan and forecasting data and continue manage to plan, while keeping sales activity updated in Salesforce.com.
  • Work with Channel teams to develop sales teams of the assigned channels in your region
  • Regional Sales Managers work from offices based in their homes.

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in direct sales role within the media industry (outside sales, and/or sales engineer)
  • Previous experience selling into higher education market
  • Must have technical background and drive—must want to use and demonstrate the Mediasite product.
  • Ability to bring sales to closure, identifying the decision-makers and forming relationships with them.
  • Ability to work from home-based office.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-60% within region.
  • Must be self motivated with exceptional communciation skills.

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional license preferred.
