It's hard to believe but it's true: last week marked more than five years capturing key sessions at Campus Technology's annual conference via Mediasite by Sonic Foundry.
A ton has changed in the world of educational technology in the last 5 years (smart classroom doesn't even show up in Google's world until 2008) and the Campus Technology agendas in the Mediasite catalogs testify to the massive shift.
Latebreaking news: June is National Dairy Month. Sonic Foundry's based in Madison, Wisconsin, so yeah, we understand the state's fascination with all things dairy.
But we're not the only ones.
In celebration of the last day of celebration, here's a round up of Mediasite webcasts from customers both local and out of state.
Earlier this month, the Mediasite ML Recorder lost some serious webcasting weight - 8 pounds plus a 14-percent reduction in size. We made the announcement at InfoComm in Las Vegas and its debut garnered rave reviews from Mediasite fans and new friends, both on-site and online. Here's a sampling of happy ML tweets from fellow Mediasite users on Twitter that capture the weight loss excitement:
At InfoComm 2010 we announced our lastest mobile Mediasite Recorder - the new Mediasite ML. As you'll see in this video (embedded below and shot by our friends at rAVe Publications when they visited us), it's a pretty amazing little piece of hardware.

Earth Day is a big deal in Wisconsin where we're headquartered. Back in 1970, our then-Senator Gaylord Nelson called for an environmental teach-in to be held on April 22, 1970. Over 20 million people participated, and now, 40 years later to be exact, it's estimated over 500 million people around the globe observe Earth Day each April 22.
Timothy Lombardo of Ashland University will present "Enhancing Student Presentations Using Mediasite in the Classroom" on Tuesday, April 13 at 11:10 CDT (convert to your time zone). Why the weird start time? This presentation is serving double duty - your best practice webinar and one of our session tracks at UNLEASH 2010, the Mediasite User Conference.
It’s a valid question. Why should I care about some awards program Sonic Foundry created to honor its customers? Too inside baseball, right?
Wrong. Here are 5 reasons why I think the finalists of our 2010 Rich Media Impact Awards are definitely worth your attention, even if you aren't, haven't and never will be taking part:
