John Gunner, Concurrent Infrastructure and Communication Technician for Concurrent Design Facility, European Space Agency The European Space Agency's Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with a network of computers, multimedia devices and software tools, which allows a team of experts from several disciplines to apply the concurrent engineering method to the design of future space missions. CDF's decision-making is by consensus, requiring cooperation and interactivity between various technical domains. Recording the rich media "conversation" between these domains improves participants' understanding of the overall system design whilst providing a knowledge base for the future. John provides a deeper look at the work his team does and how they deployed Mediasite to accomplish their goals. He also shares a glimpse into the future of how CDF intends to use their Mediasite content and system. |

| The University of Amsterdam has been capturing weblectures with Mediasite for almost five years. Last year, a team of experts consisting of educational staff, educational logistics, IT and AV specialists developed a roadmap for UvA weblectures for the next four years. The team introduced a three level service model: We do it for you; Do it together; and Do it yourself. Sabine and Werner share the university's strategic decisions, workflow and upscaling plans for the next four years. | |

| Ulrich Grimm-Allio, Conference and Media Tech, Goethe University Goethe University started using Mediasite hosting services a year ago, but has since migrated to an on-premise, single-server implementation supporting six Mediasite Recorders. Winter term started two months ago, and they have already recorded 200 hours of lectures. Soon Goethe University will go live with a freshly implemented multi-server Mediasite 6 deployment and nine Recorders. Ullrich will provide his insights on the process of planning, implementing and evolving their Mediasite deployment from hosting to basic on-premise to multi-server. He will also share the university's plans as they prepare for the next step - a high availability, load balanced eight-server setup. Plus, learn more about Goethe University's highly integrated Mediasite-Crestron system which is deployed in three new buildings, defining a new standard in lecture hall equipment. |

Martin Gaustad, Senior Executive Officer, NTNU Magnus Sæternes Lian, Higher Education Officer, NTNU The Multimedia Centre (MMS) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has been streaming educational videos for over a decade and offers free video production for courses held at the different faculties. Since 2005, Mediasite has been the primary production tool and over the years has been used in a variety of ways and settings. Martin and Magnus will share successful webcasting strategies and their years of experience including technical aspects, organizational possibilites and challenges. They'll share feedback statistics from lecturers and students, a legal agreement with lecturers if they want productions externally published and future implementation solutions for creating high volumes of quality productions with minimal staff and resources. |
