Scott Walker is president and founding principal of Waveguide Consulting. Founded in 1996, Waveguide is the largest independent AV consultant in the Southeastern US. Scott has been an independent acoustical and audiovisual consultant since 1989, managing and designing numerous multimillion dollar AV systems across multiple market sectors.
From 1999 through 2001, Scott served as chair of the InfoComm Independent Consultants in Audiovisual Technologies council. Scott delivered a keynote address at InfoComm 2001 on the convergence of AV and IT. Scott later became InfoComm president in 2004. He was the first independent consultant to serve as InfoComm president in the trade association's history. He currently chairs the InfoComm Performance Standards Committee to establish global ANSI standards for the performance of audiovisual systems and environments.
In 2007, Scott made history when he became the world's first design consultant to hold both the LEED® AP and Certified Technology Specialist in Design accreditations, and he has been instrumental in leading InfoComm's Green AV efforts to establish an AV technology LEED credits.
