Sonic Foundry CEO to Deliver Keynote Address at Kentucky Convergence Conference
MADISON, Wis. - November 12, 2008 - Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting and knowledge management, today announced chairman and CEO, Rimas Buinevicius, will present the keynote address at the fifth annual Kentucky Convergence 2008. The conference, which showcases innovative uses of technology in higher education, is being held this Thursday and Friday at the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky.
Mr. Buinevicius will present on the current climate of education and the impact of the changing economy and student expectations. He will discuss the potential of lecture capture as a viable method for community colleges and universities to retrain workers, specifically adult learners, as they look to expand their skill set. The keynote address is scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Matt McCurdy, Sonic Foundry regional sales director, will also present "How Blended Learning is Improving Student Outcomes," on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.
