RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing web content, such as Mediasite presentations or news headlines.

Using a RSS reader (also called an aggregator), you can view data feeds from various sources, including headlines, summaries, and full content links. A number of free and commercial RSS readers are available for download.

The RSS format also allows content to be easily incorporated into other web pages or weblogs.
