At Ashland University, professors take lecture capture to a new level by putting students in front of the camera to record their own presentations. In business communication courses, the professor records students' oral presentations for review by the students themselves and out-of-state communication experts who provide critiques to improve student presentation skills. In voice courses, music professors record student vocal performances, upload those videos into the Mediasite webcasting platform and then share a link to each presentation for the student to review online.

Timothy Lombardo works as a Content Developer/ Instructional Designer at Ashland University where his primary responsibilities are to create content using Mediasite and to train faculty and staff to use the campus' Mediasite Recorders. Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State and Master of Science in Instructional Technology, Instructional Technology Specialist from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
