Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re giving the company a new look.
We’re retiring our signature orange, yellow, blue and red Mediasite symbol – known as “the bug”– that has symbolized Mediasite for the last 15+ years and replacing it with a fresher look and warmer color palette of orange, rich blue and dark indigo.
The updated logo keeps some of the old elements like the four dots, the color-blocked treatment of “Sonic Foundry” and the minimal, sans serif lowercase type. But by using a strong contrast of color to divide the word "Mediasite" in the new logo, there’s a new sense of depth and dimension that clearly emphasizes the idea of “media.”
The rebrand comes at a time when Sonic Foundry is seeing major growth and expansion worldwide, with 3,800+ customers in 65 countries and international offices in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Japan. The new logo speaks to the future of the company without losing the recognition of the old brand.
Sonic Foundry employees were the first to see the new look, along with a new tagline, “Video Done Right,” this morning during a company town hall meeting, streamed live via Mediasite to employees around the world.
The new logo is being rolled out on our website, marketing materials and on the Mediasite technology, with a complete rebrand completed by early 2017.
