Obamacare has turned into one of the most polarizing government initiatives in recent history. While website woes were making headlines, hundreds of thousands of individuals were simply trying to get information and coverage.
That’s where Advocacy & Benefits Counseling for Health (ABC for Health) comes in. The Madison, Wis. nonprofit has created an online, YouTube-esque video hub called HealthWatch Wisconsin with free Mediasite webcasts explaining the rules and regulations of healthcare reform. Everyone from healthcare workers and employers to parents and school nurses can log in, select the type of information they’re looking for and view the videos that address their specific needs.
Mediasite makes reaching thousands of members across Wisconsin easy and affordable. McBride and the team use an in-house studio to record weekly live and on-demand webcasts to enhance their established in-person educational offerings. HealthWatch Wisconsin has created more than 300 presentations using Mediasite technology.
“Before Mediasite we traveled a lot,” said Brynne McBride, assistant director, ABC for Health. “Now we’re able to stay in our office and very efficiently get from a content idea to an on-demand training.”
