Arkansas Children's Hospital

Arkansas Children's Hospital is one of the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the U.S. A teaching hospital, its been leveraging Mediasite in its lecture hall for more than three years.  

So far more than 460 presenters have given over 900 presentations garnering over 11,930 views. The hospital's newest classroom integrated Mediasite with a video conferencing system to create an interactive learning environment. There, Peds PLACE (Pediatric Physician Learning and Collaborative Education), which is a telemedicine continuing education program, takes place. 

"One of the things that Mediasite allows us to do is have all these Peds PLACE presentations and other presentations that occur in here for people to watch later if they're not able to attend," said Shawn Harwell, director of e-learning. 

The hospital has also recorded an internal talent competition and used Mediasite to stream it to more than 1,000 individuals watching from their offices.
