Atitude Digital Media

Prolific Use Finalist - Atitude Digital Media, Brazil

Atitude Digital Media is a 20-year-old company that provides webcasting services via Mediasite to some of the most important companies, primarily pharmaceutical companies, in the world.

For example, in July 2009, Brazil was the country with the largest number of fatalities due to H1N1 due to the fact that it has the largest population and no vaccines were available.

"Thanks to Mediasite, we were able to shorten distances in a time when people and companies were avoiding exposure to the virus as much as possible," said Helder Conde, technical director at Atitude Digital Media.

Sanofi Aventis, the largest pharmaceutical company in Europe and Brazil, hired Atitude to make a series of live webcasts that replaced a 500-person sales meeting that was cancelled due to the flu.

Another example of Atitude's diverse projects is when nearly 30,000 teachers from 2,000 cities across the country participated in a virtual course webcast live via Mediasite.

Atitude also hosted its first 100 percent virtual conference of the Brazilian Academy of Otorhinolaryngologists in September 2009. Nearly 700 doctors from Brazil and 12 other countries attended the virtual conference.

But this is just the tip of the iceburg for how Atitude is using Mediasite webcasts.

Atitude recently reached 1,500 live webcasts and averages about 50,000 views per month.

"Atitude Digital Media, being a webcasting service provider 100 percent based on Mediasite, is clearly the leader of this market in Brazil," Conde said. "The 1,500 live webcasts mark, the broadness and diversity of audiences we reach across the globe and the public notoriety our projects have reached certainly make us very proud and make a very solid base for us to build upon. Mediasite is at the very core of this success story."
