Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman has a principal role in the design and production of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet Block II, the U.S. Navy's frontline carrier-based strike fighter. It also has to make sure the military pilots, officers, maintainers and personnel from several foreign countries that fly the F/A-18 Hornet Jet know everything there is to know about it, and it uses Mediasite to disseminate that knowledge.

For example, Northrop Grumman uses Mediasite to reach a global audience with a conference held in Quebec City Canada. The Hornet International Conference has been recorded for several years, and afterwards, a publish-to-go program is always created and sent to each attendee so they can share all the briefings with other people who need the training.

"It is almost impossible to put a value on the cost savings to each country. It saves many thousands of dollars every time someone would watch it on the computer instead of attending in person," said Evan Guyer, senior video engineer at Northrop Grumman.

Northrop Grumman also uses Mediasite for international press briefings and to connect a global workforce. Press conferences, handled by Sonic Foundry Mediasite Events, are led by lead executives and have been made available to press and media outlets, and it can use webcasts to brief its more than 120,000 employees in 25 countries and all 50 states in a timely manner.
