Te Manu Aute (University of Auckland, New Zealand)

Te Manu Aute at the University of Auckland in New Zealand is a center for gifted and talented students in the arts. Schools in Northland are invited to join the center and are put into one of seven cluster groups, and schools are allowed to enroll their gifted and talented students in any of the workshops and classes.

The Ministry of Education's "Gifted and Talented Students: Meeting Their Needs in New Zealand Schools" identified the need for flexible grouping, special classes, pull-out or withdrawal programs, mentorships and virtual instruction. Te Manu Aute provides this via Mediasite. 

"By recognizing and celebrating the gifts and talents of young New Zealand artists, musicians, dancers and actors, the power of Mediasite has allowed Te Manu Aute to really make a difference," according to a Te Manu Aute student.
