  • Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre uses Mediasite to share its knowledge with students, patients and health care providers around the world. Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre wanted to capture and share its frontline medical knowledge with the world, but it had no way to do so. Dedicated to universal healthcare, the centre was faced with increasing information demand and decreasing resources.
  • Virtual-OR mediasites surgical procedures to educate health care professionals and improve patient care. A diverse network of hospitals, institutions and professional organizations, called Virtual-OR, wanted to provide real-time continuing medical education to people around the world. The network wanted to stream medical procedures live over the Internet to keep medical professionals up-to-date on the latest changes in health and biotechnology.
  • The Sextant Group
    The Sextant Group extends East Carolina University’s reach to a worldwide audience with Mediasite. The Sextant Group was hired by East Carolina University (ECU) to integrate webcasting technology into its new Science and Technology Building. The building was designed to house a Global Classroom that would support multimedia distance learning for up to 125 people.
  • Charleston Area Medical Center
    Charleston Area Medical Center reduces consumer health care costs with Mediasite. The Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) needed to provide easily accessible health information to over 7,000 West Virginia healthcare professionals and their patients. Home to a high quality medical teaching facility, the medical center’s mission includes improving patient care and education, particularly in relation to diabetes.
  • Central Michigan University College of Health Professions
    Central Michigan University uses Mediasite to increase visibility and enrollment for its College of Health Professions. The Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Health Professions wanted to implement web communications technology into a new high-tech learning facility. In addition to serving their 2,000 students, they hoped the technology could provide public visibility for the school.
  • North American Spine Society
    The North American Spine Society chooses Mediasite to enhance the technological capabilities of its new medical education facility. The North American Spine Society (NASS) envisioned building the most technologically advanced spine education facility. In early 2005, NASS moved from three separate buildings into one newly renovated facility in Burr Ridge, Illinois.

  • Sonic Foundry’s Mediasite helps Ross University make a global impact. Ross University wanted to develop an online learning program to enhance the traditional classroom experience. Staff members were leery of technology that would require them to change their teaching style or improve their technology skills, but students wanted a way to review complicated course material online before exams.
