Caption to increase access.
Multimedia webcasts provide students and employees an invaluable learning tool as they watch and replay presentations, lectures or trainings on their own terms, anytime anywhere.
Closed captioning enhances that multimedia experience:
- Makes content accessible to viewers with hearing disabilities
- Improves access for viewers with English as a second language (ESL)
- Enhances the playback experience for viewers with other learning disabilities or individuals watching in noisy environments
- Enables viewers to quickly pinpoint snippets of important information by searching with key words or phrases.
Mediasite streamlines the captioning process so your organization can meet federal and state accessibility mandates and provide your learners a richer, more meaningful online experience.
Mediasite provides two ways to easily add closed captions to any recorded content.
Automated closed captioning
Use the Mediasite Captioning Manager to set captioning requirements for entire folders of presentations, collections of presentations published across multiple folders or for single presentations. Mediasite automatically uploads your recorded media files to Automatic Sync Technologies' captioning service, automatically associates returned captions to their corresponding presentations and immediately displays the captions in the Mediasite Player for your viewers.
Standard closed captioning
You can also use the Mediasite Captioning Manager to download your presentation media files locally with the option to send your files to the captioning service provider of your choice or generate your own closed captions in-house. Either way, once your captions are ready, simply upload the files to the corresponding presentations, and Mediasite immediately displays them in the Mediasite Player.
