Sonic Foundry Seeking Nominations for Fourth Annual Rich Media Impact Awards

MADISON, WI — Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media communications and knowledge management, today announced the company is accepting submissions for the Rich Media Impact Awards. The company invites Mediasite users to create a three to five-minute Mediasite presentation for all nominations.

Established in 2005, the Rich Media Impact Awards have strengthened the Mediasite user-community by inspiring, promoting and supporting creativity and innovation. The awards honor the most dramatic examples of how Mediasite has transformed organizations by enabling better communication, greater reach and accessibility of information, increased revenue or cost savings, and better efficiency and productivity.

“The Rich Media Impact Awards are a great opportunity to recognize the significant accomplishments of our customers, and draw attention to their ongoing, inspirational use of Mediasite to record and share their knowledge,” said Darrin Coulson, Chief Operating Officer of Sonic Foundry.

Deadline for entry is March 31, and finalists will be notified on April 18. Winners will be announced on May 14 at Sonic Foundry’s annual user conference, UNLEASH the Power, in a ceremony at Madison’s historic Orpheum Theatre.

Enterprise Award

Recognizes a company who improved its business through rich media communication.

Government Award

Facility Design Award

Recognizes a professional AV design or consulting firm that created innovative rich media rooms and facilities.

Excellence in Education Award

Recognizes a higher education institution that enhanced learning and outreach through rich media.

Scholastic Achievement Award

Recognizes a school district or other organization serving the K-12 educational community that harnessed the power of rich media to improve communication, learning and outreach.

Healthcare Award

Recognizes an organization that implemented rich media to benefit health and wellness.

Rapid ROI Award

Recognizes an organization that used rich media to quickly achieve a measurable ROI in its training, communications or outreach initiatives.
