Ag Day at the Capitol will be carried via live Webcast on Feb. 1

MADISON, WI — The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation today announced that "Ag Day at the Capitol" on February 1 will be carried via a live Webcast through Sonic Foundry's MediasiteTM rich media recorder. The Webcast will run from 12:30 2:35 p.m. and can be accessed at the Farm Bureau Website www.wfbf.com.

"This is a great technology to allow farmers who can't get away from their farms for the day to stay abreast of the important issues facing Wisconsin agriculture. The Mediasite Webcast technology allows us to showcase agriculture advocacy at its best," said Tom Thieding, executive director of public relations with the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.

Mediasite will capture and stream the speakers and PowerPoint presentation during Ag Day at the Capitol. The Ag Day at the Capitol event will be held at the Monona Terrance Convention Center in Madison. Close to 700 farmers will attend to get the latest information on key legislative initiatives in the areas of ethanol, eminent domain protection, healthcare and livestock. Governor Jim Doyle, Assembly Speaker John Gard and Senate Majority Leader Dale Schultz all are featured speakers.
