At Ashland University, professors take lecture capture to a new level by putting students in front of the camera to record their own presentations. In business communication courses, the professor records students' oral presentations for review by the students themselves and out-of-state communication experts who provide critiques to improve student presentation skills. In voice courses, music professors record student vocal performances, upload those videos into the Mediasite webcasting platform and then share a link to each presentation for the student to review online.

Timothy Lombardo of Ashland University will explain:

  • Different methods for using lecture capture technology to record and distribute student presentations online
  • Best practices for setting up and managing your online knowledge catalogs via Mediasite
  • How to use Mediasite's video upload feature and editor to further simplify the student recording process
  • Practical ideas for how you can use these methods at your own institution
