The most trusted video managementplatform for academic, enterprise and event webcasting
Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), a leading developer and marketer of media authoring tools and digital audio software for Windows, today announced it has formed a relationship with Scott Studios, the leading provider of digital air studio systems for radio broadcasting applications. Through this new partnership, Scott Studios is now using Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge 4.5 digital audio editing environment as the broadcast content editing platform for its digital audio recorder-players.
Scott Studios selected Sound Forge 4.5 in response to its desire to provide customers with a system input interface capable of incorporating personalized content in on-air programming. To meet Scott's technical requirements in this area, Sonic Foundry modified its software to support the scott.wav storage format. In addition to its use of Sound Forge, Scott Studios also plans to integrate Sonic Foundry's Vegas Pro non-linear multitrack media editing solution in the near future.
According to Jim Latimer, National Sales Manager for Sonic Foundry, "The adoption of the Scott format within Sound Forge increases Sonic Foundry's presence in the broadcast business dramatically, and provides a growth opportunity for both Sonic Foundry and Scott Studios. We are very pleased to be working with a respected broadcast industry leader like Scott Studios."
"With the advent of the Sonic Foundry/Scott Studios interface, I feel we're in the position to give our clients unparalleled flexibility in the production arena," said David Roberts, Vice President of Scott Studios.
Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge 4.5 is a comprehensive, Windows-based digital audio editing solution with a host of audio-manipulation and Web development capabilities. This powerful software package allows users to record, edit, and process mono or stereo audio files, and also includes effects such as Reverb, EQ, Distortion, Spectrum Analysis, and Batch Conversion utilities. These features ideally complement the broad-based capabilities of Scott Studios rack-mounted PC-based systems, providing Scott's customers with the highest level of quality and creativity available in the broadcast audio delivery market.
