Sonic Foundry to Encode and Stream Media Content for the U.S. Olympic Committee

Sonic Foundry[R] Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the developer and marketer of digital media and Internet software tools, services, and systems, today announced a contract between the U.S. Olympic Committee and Sonic Foundry's Media Services[SM] Division for the encoding and streaming of Olympic media footage.

Sonic Foundry's Media Services Division will provide encoding and streaming services for the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC), responsible for training, entering, and underwriting the U.S. Team at the Olympic Games. The footage will consist of interviews with U.S. Olympians, childhood stories of various athletes, and sport-specific public service announcements. The content will be encoded into Windows Media[TM] and RealMedia streaming formats. The public will be able to view the content at www.usolympicteam.com.
