The most trusted video managementplatform for academic, enterprise and event webcasting
Sonic Foundry (Nasdaq: SOFO), a leading developer and marketer of media authoring tools and digital audio software for Windows[R], today introduced its new Audio Anywhere software suite. Designed for use with Microsoft[R] PowerPoint[TM] and FrontPage[TM] applications, this unique software solution allows PC users to enhance electronic presentations and Web pages with custom sound and musical accompaniment.
Fully compatible with the upcoming Microsoft[R] Office 2000 package, Audio Anywhere features the pairing of Sonic Foundry's popular ACID[TM] Style audio content creation program with its acclaimed Sound Forge[R] XP 4.5 audio editing tool. The ACID Style application enables the authoring of loop-based, license-free compositions in the genres of rock, jazz, pop, and dance. These compositions can be edited, processed, and further enhanced using Sound Forge XP 4.5. The package includes over 800 professional quality sound clips of all varieties, such as music beds, button clicks, sound effects, transitions, tags, and environments, all of which can contribute to the development of more powerful and effective presentations and Web pages.
The versatile Audio Anywhere suite can save files in a variety of formats, including .WAV, .ASF, .AVI, and .RM, making it possible for users to publish to virtually any type of project. The Sound Forge XP 4.5 application, which supports Microsoft Windows Media Technologies 4.0 and RealNetworks RealSystem G2 file formats, enables these files, as well as video data, to be synchronized and placed into Web pages created by FrontPage.
According to Roy Elkins, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Sonic Foundry, "Audio Anywhere is truly a one-of-a-kind solution. It provides anyone with practical Windows competency the ability to equip PowerPoint presentations and Web pages with the added dimension of professional quality audio and video."
Audio Anywhere requires a Pentium 133 processor or higher, a Windows-compatible sound card, a CD-ROM drive, 32 MB of RAM, 10 MB of hard-disk space, and Microsoft Windows 9x or NT version 4.0 or later.
