Sonic Foundry Leads the Content Revolution

Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), the leading media solutions provider of professional media software and production services, announces four new and innovative Loops for ACID[TM] libraries for its ACID music creation software at NAMM 2000. These additions bring the total number of Loops for ACID libraries to 30 with more than 10,000 loops—all license and royalty-free.

The four new titles are MAC MONEY—Voices from the Blackbox, The R&B Groove Spectrum, Harvey Mandel's Serpentine Magic, and Siggi Baldursson's 100% ACIDized Drumsugar, Volumes 1 & 2. All libraries feature sound files that have been fully optimized to take advantage of ACID's advanced feature set. This provides music creators with enhanced flexibility and downloadable options.

MAC MONEY—Voices from the Blackbox is the first Loops for ACID library devoted entirely to vocal samples. It contains a wide variety of male and female vocal samples including solo lines, harmonies, ad-libs, and human beatbox, all recorded with the usual MAC MONEY attention to quality and detail. Voices from the Blackbox is expected to ship in early March.

Also shipping in early March is a new R&B drum library, The R&B Groove Spectrum. This library of R&B grooves spans the entire genre and includes live acoustic drum sounds as well as programmed beats.

Harvey Mandel's Serpentine Magic is a Sonic Foundry exclusive from electric guitar legend Harvey Mandel. This hard-core library includes a large assortment of the psychedelic blues and fusion riffs that made Harvey a true guitar hero in every sense of the word. This exclusive library will ship in April, 2000.

Topping off Sonic Foundry's new loop additions is Siggi Baldursson's 100% ACIDized Drumsugar, Volumes 1 & 2. Former Sugarcubes Drummer Siggi Baldursson has teamed up with Sonic Foundry for the second in a series of Loops for ACID libraries produced by Sonic Foundry's Sound Development team offering two volumes of astounding beats with state-of-the-art production values. Expected shipment is in April, 2000.
