MADISON, Wis. - July 19, 2010 - Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting and knowledge management, today announced that the company's Mediasite platform will be used to record key tracks at Campus Technology 2010: Advancing Higher Education Through Technology, taking place July 19 – 22 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Mass. Sonic Foundry has been Campus Technology’s webcasting partner for more than five years.
“Capturing presentations with Mediasite and giving our higher education audience the ability to review the archived sessions is an integral part of our conference. This year we look forward to seeing even more reach from the archived sessions, as we will use them to seed our fully online Virtual Conference and Expo in November,” said Geoffrey Fletcher, editorial director of Campus Technology. “Sonic Foundry has proven to be a valuable partner, and we’re pleased to be working with them again.”
In addition to streaming online presentations, Mediasite customers will be speaking at breakout and poster sessions scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, notably Dr. Russell Scaduto, Director of Education Technology, Associate Professor, Penn State University, who will be presenting “Use of Streaming Media for Lecture Capture and Event Distribution.”
Campus Technology 2010 provides attendees with the opportunity to explore the cutting-edge technologies that drive student achievement both in and out of the classroom.
