Sonic Foundry Partners with EduComm to Deliver First Hybrid Conference

Las Vegas, Nev., EduComm Booth 34-37 - June 7, 2010 - Sonic Foundry, Inc.(NASDAQ: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting, lecture capture and knowledge management, today announced that for the first time in a seven year partnership, the company will be webcasting all keynotes and sessions of EduComm 2010, the premier higher education technology conference, held June 7-9 at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

EduComm will convene thought leaders, innovators and speakers to present, discuss and navigate the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of higher education. The conference is once again featuring five program tracks that cover topics such as social media and web innovation, classroom technology, marketing, facilities and systems support, and technology and solutions demos.

This year marks the introduction of the virtual conference pass, with Mediasite at its core. EduComm Virtual attendees will have access to all keynotes and sessions live from the conference in Vegas, as well as select presentations from EduComm 2009. The virtual pass also provides social networking opportunities with in-person and remote attendees, exhibitors and sponsors before, during and after the event.

"Every year we strive to give our attendees a better conference experience than the year before, and our partnership with Sonic Foundry has helped us exceed that goal. As virtual meetings and online networking expectations expand, it is critical to stream each session live while providing an archive of information for attendees to revisit," said Tim Goral, conference program chair for EduComm 2010, editor in chief of University Business.

"Sonic Foundry's seven-year partnership with EduComm speaks to the value of expanding a conference beyond a traditional venue and offering the experience in the virtual realm," said Rimas Buinevicius, founder and CEO of Sonic Foundry. "EduComm delivers what both onsite and online attendees have come to expect - an educational experience that continues to impact their professional development beyond the three-day lifespan of the conference. We're proud Mediasite is a testament to its success."
