Sonic Foundry Partners with the Sloan Consortium to Deliver Online Learning Symposium

MADISON, Wis. - July 20, 2010 - Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ: SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting and knowledge management, is pleased to announce that the company is the Coast-to-Coast Technology Partner for the Sloan Consortium's third Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning Symposium. As part of the partnership, Sonic Foundry's Mediasite webcasting platform will be used to record and stream all sessions of the symposium, held July 20 - 23 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California.

The Symposium, a partnership of the Sloan Consortium, MERLOT and MoodleMoot, is designed to bring together individuals interested in the technological aspects of online learning, and focuses on the technologies that drive online learning effectiveness, and highlights research, applications and best practices of important emerging technological tools.

This is the second year the Symposium is offering a virtual conference pass via Mediasite. Virtual attendees will have live access to the keynote, plenary, closing and more than 50 concurrent sessions, as well as the ability to interact through the conference's social networking site.
