Sonic Foundry Products Selected For Groundbreaking All-In-One Digital Recording Solution

Sonic Foundry, Inc. (AMEX: SFO), a leading developer and marketer of digital audio software for the Windows[R] platform, today announced today that "lite" versions of its award-winning Sound Forge and ACID software have been selected for inclusion in Digidesign's ToolBox for Windows. The just-announced Digidesign ToolBox for Windows bundle is an all-in-one package of audio production tools for creating professional-sounding audio recordings.

Designed to provide exceptional value, the ToolBox also includes Digidesign's Audiomedia III PCI digital audio card and Session software, and Emagic's Logic Audio AV software.

Sound Forge XP 4.5 lets users record and process mono or stereo audio files and sync audio to video quickly and easily, making it perfect for multimedia projects or Internet applications. In addition, it supports a wide variety of popular streaming audio file types, including RealNetwork's RealAudio and Microsoft's Active Streaming Format, and it includes a variety of effects such as Reverb, EQ, Eistortion, and Fade In/Out.

ACID Rock lets users create their own original rock music recordings, and features over 600 audio loops, including grunge riffs, metal solos, and drum fills. Loops can be "painted" into a track and played back at any desired tempo and key. Users can build entire compositions or create accompaniment tracks for their own performances.
