Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO) today announced it has signed an agreement with the Information Technologies Marketing Division of Sony Electronics, Inc. under which Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge[R] XP 4.5 software will be bundled with three desktop and two notebook models of Sony's VAIO Digital Studio[TM] computer line. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Importantly, these OEM agreements underscore the industry's growing endorsement of Sonic Foundry as a leading developer of digital media software."

Sound Forge XP provides the flexibility and power to make the most of today's digital media technology.
Sound Forge XP 4.5, a streamlined version of Sonic Foundry's award-winning professional digital audio editor Sound Forge[R] 4.5, provides an introduction to multimedia content creation with powerful audio processing tools and effects that allow users to simply cut, copy, and paste their way to more striking media files for use in everything from Web pages to desktop presentations. Sound Forge XP 4.5 supports RealNetworks RealSystem G2, which allows for the creation of streaming audio and video content for the RealNetworks RealPlayer G2, and Windows Media Technologies 4.0, a new streaming media solution from Microsoft that features a more advanced approach to digital content delivery.
