Sonic Foundry's ACID XPress Powers The Scream3music.com "Scream of the Week" Contest
Sonic Foundry, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOFO), a leading developer and marketer of digital media and Internet software tools, services, and systems, today announced its alliance with Wind-up Entertainment, Inc., a premiere recording company, to provide ACID[TM] XPress as the recording platform for participants of the "Scream of the Week" contest.
Participants in the contest will be directed to Sonic Foundry's ACIDplanet.com Web site, a hub for digital musicians, to download a free copy of ACID XPress to record their screams. Contestants can utilize the multitracking capabilities of ACID XPress to produce up to eight tracks of their best 'screaming' content. Their creations can then be uploaded directly to the official Scream3music.com Web site for entry.

Sixteen weekly contest winners will receive a copy of Sonic Foundry's award-winning ACID Music 2.0 software. A grand prize winner will receive Sonic Foundry ACID PRO 2.0, Vegas[TM] Pro 1.0, Sound Forge[R] 4.5, and CD Architect[TM], the tools needed to create, edit, and deliver heart-stopping music. The contest will run for sixteen weeks ending on May 26, 2000.
