Sonic Foundry's ACID[TM] Music Software Localized into Four Major International Languages

Sonic Foundry (AMEX: SFO), a leading developer and publisher of digital media software, today announced the release of its groundbreaking ACID Music software in French, Italian, German, and Spanish. This powerful, yet easy-to-use PC software package allows both serious music hobbyists and musicians to easily create a broad assortment of professional-sounding music.

The localized versions of ACID Music feature the same functionality as the English-language version of the software. All components of the ACID Music package are translated, including the software, the owner's manual, training guide, online help, and packaging. The localized version will auto-detect the language of the operating system during installation. If the operating system language is not supported, the software will then automatically default to the English-language version.

With ACID Music, creating truly unique musical selections is exceptionally easy. Users simply select the loops they want to include, 'click-and-drag' to arrange them into tracks, and then play back the assembled song. To ensure professional-quality sound, ACID Music synchronizes the tempo and key of each loop in a song, regardless of the loop's original speed or pitch.

ACID Music includes a built-in library with hundreds of license-free loops in a vast array of instruments, including percussion, guitar, horns, synth, and more, covering a wide variety of musical styles such as rock, jazz, pop, dance, techno, funk, and hip-hop. In addition, with ACID Music's comprehensive onboard digital studio, users can mix and match loops to create recordings with an unlimited number of tracks. ACID Music allows users to easily add their own instruments or vocals to their music creations, or to sing along by simply plugging a microphone into their PC sound card.

ACID Music requires a Pentium 133 microprocessor (For real-time effects a Pentium II processor is recommended.) or Alpha AXP microprocessor, Microsoft Windows 9x or Windows NT 4.0 or later, a Windows-compatible sound card, VGA display, CD-ROM drive, 32MB of RAM, and 5MB of hard-disk space for program installation.
