Sonic Foundry's ACID[TM] Software is Honored with Two Music Industry Awards

Sonic Foundry (AMEX: SFO), a leading developer and marketer of digital audio software for the Windows[R] platform, was honored with two music industry awards during the National Association of Music Merchants convention in Los Angeles for their loop-based composition tool, ACID. The breakthrough music creation software was named as Electronic Musician Magazine's 'Most Innovative Product' and was also selected as an 'Editor's Pick' by Musician Magazine.

In its evaluation, Electronic Musician's product review staff specifically commented that "ACID has quickly garnered an enthusiastic following, and it's easy to see why. This loop-based music-production tool offers an exciting and easy way to create compositions from a wide range of audio files, regions, and snippets." The magazine also acknowledged ACID as a "standout" product for how simple it makes it to combine loops from different sources.

In selecting ACID for an Editor's Pick award, reviewer Howard Massey of Musician Magazine stated that, "ACID is one of the coolest pieces of software I have ever worked with" and also remarked that the software "makes it almost obscenely easy to create music, allowing you to quickly combine dozens of loops seamlessly into complete songs."
