The most trusted video managementplatform for academic, enterprise and event webcasting
Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge, a leading audio authoring tool, supports Microsoft NetShow to provide advanced multimedia authoring and synchronization solutions. Sound Forge supports the Advanced Streaming Format (ASF) used by NetShow, in addition to Wave (WAV) and Video for Windows (AVI) files. Content developers can apply digital processes and effects to audio files in Sound Forge and easily save these files to ASF for distribution on the Internet and intranets.
NetShow technology allows ASF files to be streamed across networks, opening up possibilities for live multicast audio events, corporate communications including training and sales presentations, guided on-line tours, and other content using synchronized illustrated audio.
Sound Forge allows developers to strategically place events (URLs) in NetShow audio files. As the audio file is played, the events trigger additional Web pages, creating virtual multimedia presentations.
"Sonic Foundry is extremely excited about the new release of NetShow, version 3.0, and its promise of meeting the streaming needs of the ever growing Internet market," said Rimas Buinevicius, Sonic Foundry CEO. "With the latest revision, we expect more Web developers, broadcasters, I.S. professionals, videographers, musicians, and general consumers to adopt this standard for a wide variety of purposes."
Product Description: Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge, the first version audio/media editor designed to support the Microsoft AVI file format, is a worldwide standard for multimedia, Web applications, and music production. Sound Forge supports Sonic Foundry and third-party DirectX plug-ins for added processing power and can save numerous audio file formats including Advanced Streaming Format (ASF). MSRP $499.
Sonic Foundry's Batch Converter plug-in for Sound Forge saves time and automates the process of converting and processing ASF files from AVI. Tens, hundreds, or even thousands of files can be processed in a single batch. Any process, effect, or tool within Sound Forge can be invoked during the batch process itself. MSRP $199.
