Google Glass + Mediasite: Consumer Video Capture in the Enterprise

Google Glass + Mediasite: Consumer Video Capture in the Enterprise

On Demand

QAD, a Mediasite user since 2007, has a long history of putting video in the hands of its employees. Corporate training, education, global staff orientation, new software releases, employee news, and corporate conferences are all communicated via video.

Immediately after being chosen for the Google Glass Explorer program, QAD’s director of IT architecture Scott Lawson was already thinking about how to create enterprise applications for this wearable computing device. The Explorer Program launched earlier this year and is designed for people who want to get involved early and help shape the future of Glass. Lawson saw Glass as a simple and effective video-creation tool that would tie in with Mediasite’s robust backend management system, streaming near real-time communication.

Join Scott as he looks at Glass and its capabilities, discusses best practices for capturing content and explores real-world uses in the enterprise and education, including:

  • How the Google Glass + Mediasite integration could help large organizations achieve all the flexibility of YouTube, but with tighter security, more robust analytics and powerful search capabilities
  • The revolutionary impact the first-person point of view will have on education, training and communication
  • How Glass enhances hands-on learning with detailed demonstrations and labs
  • A step-by-step roadmap for ingesting the Glass content into your enterprise video management platform
