Each year, Centennial College hosts a mock disaster training day for students, medical staff and first responders in Toronto, Canada. Hundreds of volunteers, including Centennial students, role play to simulate emergency situations. This year it was a subway crash and a mass shooting, and one of the college’s campuses served as a mock hospital.
The annual event lets medical professionals work and problem solve together and better prepares them for real life disaster situations. Plus, students get hands on experience that is impossible to have in the classroom.

Medical Center Leeuwarden’s new MCL Academy staff training program in the Netherlands has selected My Mediasite to deliver instructional videos directly to a dispersed workforce. Students at San Antonio College have spoken, and the consensus is that Mediasite helps them learn.
The college, the largest single campus community college in Texas with more than 25,000 students, ran a Mediasite lecture capture pilot, and 97 percent of students agreed that they were more successful having access to on-demand lectures for review.
