As a Special Projects Coordinator Jeff works on the district's website and administers Mediasite throughout the District. Jeff received his B.S. From the University of Memphis in Human Learning and Development and has worked as a classroom teacher, instructional facilitator, technology coordinator and technology specialist.

Sean Brown is vice president of education at Sonic Foundry. With almost 20 years of IT experience, Mike Chop has served as an Integration Engineer, Operations Manager, Event Manager and most recently, as a Rich Media Technologist. Mike currently focuses on building a rich media strategy at Cadence Design Systems, where he orchestrates telepresence, videoconferencing, virtual meeting, webcasting and podcasting. In his spare time, Mike also serves on the Technology Board of his local elementary school in San Francisco, CA.

Helder Conde, Technical Director, Atitude Digital Media

Helder Conde is technical director at Atitude Digital Media, a leading webcasting service provider based 100% on Mediasite in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has produced, directed and supervised more than 1000 live webcasts since 2005 and is responsible for managing the complete technical infrastructure, studios and webcasting team at Atitude. Helder represented Atitude at UNLEASH 2008, both as a presenter and as a finalist in the Rich Media Impact Awards. Before webcasting, he spent almost 15 years in video and multimedia development and also live in-person events using wireless keypad voting systems. This expertise is now merged into webcasting.

Dr. James F. Craig is a Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Policy and an educational consultant in the Office of Information Technology at the University of Maryland-Baltimore Dental School. He has been in the field of instructional technology for 41 years, 37 of which have been in dental education. James achieved his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University and his master’s and doctorate from Indiana University. His primary area of concentration was instructional design and development with minors in adult education and radio and television. He has designed or produced hundreds of instructional programs ranging from slide-tapes, programmed texts, instructional manuals, television programs, computer based education and interactive-videodisc applications (including three editions of "The Generic Dental Disc"). He has numerous publications and has taught at all levels from elementary to postgraduate education. James works to integrate technology into the curriculum through assisting faculty in the use of technology-based instruction including Blackboard, Mediasite and Questionmark.

Catherine Cullen is an Education Consultant at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction where she is primarily responsible for overseeing the Professional Development Plan process for Wisconsin educators renewing their licenses under the new performance-based system. She served as the primary author for the publication Professional Development Plan: Initial Educator Toolkit and has authored multiple resources for educators in the state. Prior to her arrival at DPI, Catherine was an Associate Professor of Education at Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin where she served as the Director of Teacher Education and taught courses in multicultural education, the history of education and social studies education.

Bernard Curzi, Head of eLearning, EDHEC Business School

Bernard Curzi joined EDHEC Business School in 1993 and quickly assumed duties as Director of the Software Training and Consulting Center for the Lille and Nice campuses. He set up his major program for “Management and TIC” intended for EDHEC 3 students combining organizational processes, change management, information systems and the implementation of technology solutions. Bernard has also been head of the Languages, Communication and IT Teaching Department and is currently Head of the eLearning Department. He contributes to differentiate EDHEC from other Business Schools in France with elearning developments. Since July 2008 he is also Espeme Program Manager on the Nice Campus.

Mark Dashper, Director, Te Manu Aute (University of Auckland, New Zealand)

Mark Dashper is the founder and director of Te Manu Aute, where he has led the project with innovative strategies to reach rural schools and engage indigenous Maori students. Mark is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Auckland, where he holds an MA (honors) in Anthropology and Ethnomusicology and a Diploma of Teaching in Art and Music. He is currently employed by the University of Auckland as an Educational Facilitator in schools. In 2008 Te Manu Aute received a finalist award for the Rich Media Impact Award for Scholastic Achievement K-12. Mark received Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council Major Grant for Emergent Craft Artist 1992 and was awarded a Royal Society of New Zealand Teacher Fellowship in 2000. Mark also composes music for theatre, film and television. He has presented at conferences in Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and at UNLEASH 2008.

Larry Doele has worked in the healthcare arena for 40 years and currently has sales responsibility for all electronic communication systems at Michigan Public Health Institute, a not-for-profit health care organization in Lansing, Michigan. In this position Larry manages and sells online learning courses, videoconferencing service, satellite downlink services, webinars and rich media webcasting. Over the past five years he has grown the electronic communications business at MPHI from 4,450 viewer per year to over 85,000. Prior to MPHI, Larry served as Director of National accounts for MEDecision, a provider of utilization and case management softwre for health insurance companies.

Jan Douma joined multimedia services at the Technical University of Delft in 2001 and is currently an AV System Engineer. In 2004 he started to develop the portable Collegerama recording unit together with MediaMission. Since then, he has built 11 portable recording units as well as two smaller units. Currently, Jan is helping develop a complete automated classroom.

Dr. Felicia Fowler is the Coordinator of Instructional Technology for Memphis City Schools. In her 13 year tenure, she has been a Staff Development Coordinator, a classroom teacher, reading specialist and a reading curriculum developer for the district. In her current position, Felicia is working to build capacity in the area of technology integration, project-based learning and utilization of rich media applications district-wide. She is also an adjunct professor at several local universities, where she instructs pre-service and in-service teachers on integration of technology into classroom instruction, effective classroom management, and reading strategies. Felecia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s of Science degree in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership and a Doctorate degree in Instructional Design and Technology, all from the University of Memphis. She also holds endorsements in Reading from the University of Memphis and Administration and Supervision from Freed-Hardeman University.

Jodi Fox has been developing technical training for a variety of adult audiences for 15 years. She has created support functions from manuals to help desks for small companies as well as international clients. In 2006, she accepted the challenge of implementing a brand-new blended learning format at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and currently serves as the Director of Distance Learning. Transitioning to blended learning allowed her program increase enrollment capacity by 50 percent. Jodi's goal is to maximize collaboration and interaction for distance learners to keep them engaged, motivated and excited about the experience.

He has installed and managed a variety of different servers for the College of Engineering including license, file, domain controllers, IIS, WSUS, and WDS servers. Rob would also like to clarify the following misconceptions: He was not raised by wolves. He did not escape from home in a giant peach. He has not been in charge of the weather since 1997. He has no idea how they get the Cadbury bunnies to lay chocolate eggs. Finally, Rob does not suffer from amnesia; that is how he normally is.

Eric has been working with multimedia, desktop publishing and electronic imaging for over 16 years. He helped to set up the first color Macintosh computer lab at UC Davis Design Department in 1988. Eric started work in California as a multimedia creator, working with Intel's DVI technology. He has created presentation and CD-ROM titles for IBM, Intel and Goldstar. He then switched to the world of computer graphics and created designs for Levis, Sun, Oral-B and Loral. Eric now works as team lead of Enterprise Business Services Multimedia Solutions Group were he has lead the award winning team in video development, streaming media and webcast production. Eric is currently responsible for Lockheed Martin’s Streaming Media strategy and he and his team production corporate and executive webcasts all over the country. Eric has taught and lectured for: New York State University, University of California, and California State University. He is considered an industry expert in multi-platform publishing, streaming media, and web design and has spoken at Intranets, Streaming Media, Infocom, Seybold, MacWorld, AgfaCon, Intracomm, and Comdex.

Wow, what hasn't Scott Holcomb been? He's been an actor, volunteer fire fighter, US space academy counselor, mental health counselor, elementary school teacher and currently, a husband and father. Scott is the product of a military upbringing gone right and considers himself very fortunate to have lived all over the world. Scott's Thai mother decided early on that he would become and doctor, and when that didn't work out he ran off to Auburn University to pursue a Master's degree in counseling, and she settled for him becoming a community agency counselor for 10 years! Scott enjoyed helping families and children in Georgia and found much success in his abilities to work with diverse populations. He then decided to brave the educational waters, taking on the ultimate challenge as an elementary school teacher in the 21st largest public school system in the US, spending seven happy years working with K-6 students in Memphis City Schools. Since then, Scott has been working with a great group of educators that make up the Instructional Technology Department for Memphis City Schools. He works hands on with fellow educators in better integrating technology into the classroom as well as pushing open the envelope of instructional technology via Mediasite at the district level.

Leon Huijbers is Manager of the Campus Congress Centre and Multimedia Department at Technical University of Delft. He is the founding father of Collegerama, a web-based environment to organize and publish scientific educational content. Prior to his current position, he led mass media campaigns at the Dutch Government Department of Information. Raised in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, Huijbers is Chairman of the national group of Media Directors in Education, CAWO. In 2000, he assumed responsibility for planning and execution of classroom technology campus-wide at East Carolina University, overseeing the deployment of 150+ integrated classrooms utilizing typical classroom AV technology as well as videoconferencing, remote monitoring, and lecture capture using Mediasite. He currently manages the Sales Engineering team at Sonic Foundry, which is responsible for deployment consulting, installation training, and consultative support for Mediasite customers.

Robert has an MA in comparative media sciences from Utrecht University.

Milly Jones, Manager of Programming and Marketing Services, University of Wisconsin Extension-ICS

Milly Jones is the Manager of Programming and Marketing Services for Instructional Communications Systems (ICS) at University of Wisconsin-Extension (UWEX) and has served in this position for 15 years. She is responsible for managing the scheduling and program coordination services for the distance learning technologies managed by ICS. She also designs marketing, training and informational programs for ICS and is the manager of the Distance Learning Wisconsin web site. Prior to joining ICS, Milly held positions in retail management, local government administration and regional tourism development in Iowa and is a graduate of Iowa State University. She has presented at the Governor’s Wisconsin Educational Technology Conference; the Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning; and the Wisconsin State Training Conference. In addition, she has presented many workshops, training sessions and demonstrations for state agencies, UW departments and non-profits on using technology for teaching and learning.

Jim Jorstad has been a leading force in the effective use of technology in higher education for over 20 years. He has a graduate degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Iowa and is currently the Director of Educational Technologies at the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. Jim is responsible for integrating technology into teaching and learning practices, learning space design, faculty development, innovative technology projects, distance education, as well as multi-media and web creation. He lectures to campuses and organizations throughout the U.S. and is a leading international technology consultant on conceiving and designing innovative teaching and learning environments. Jim has been a member of the editorial board for EDUCAUSE Quarterly and is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences. He is an EDUCAUSE Frye Fellow of 2005, one of 50 leading IT professionals chosen worldwide for the award. In 2008, Jim was the receipient of the Rich Media Impact Award for Return on Investment. Jim describes himself as technologist who is passionate, innovative, and creative.

Konstantin Kaltsas serves as Videoconferencing Coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He provides scheduling, training and support for the University's distance education facilities including Mediasite. His role also encompasses a variety of other media work including online video and podcasting. Prior to joining UW-Platteville, Konsantin was the Evening and Late Night Supervisor for the Winona State University library and also has experience in the print and broadcast industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, and Sun.

Sari King is responsible for Constituent Relations for the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). She began her career with ETF in 2005 as the Administrator for the Division of Retirement Services. Sari is originally from Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Oklahoma City University. With over 20 years of management experience in various state positions, Sari’s background also includes extensive information technology experience.

Cody Kleven has been with Sonic Foundry over five years in various roles including systems engineering, professional services and account management. Mukul Krishna is responsible for the global digital media practice at Frost & Sullivan and is widely recognized as an industry expert and thought leader with primary expertise in content management, rights management, video servers, streaming, digital media storage and video encoding markets. He has extensively written on, analyzed and managed projects within the digital media market and leads consulting projects and brainstorming strategy sessions with Frost & Sullivan clients to help them with growth strategies. Mukul is a regular speaker and panelist at industry conferences, having given regular keynotes at the Henry Stewart Symposia, iHollywood forum and Apple iServer Seminars among others. Mukul serves on the executive board of editors for the International Journal of Digital Asset Management and was recently nominated to be a Fellow at the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce, London, UK.

Dr. Rosemary Lehman is Senior Outreach/Distance Education Specialist and Manager of the Learning Design Team for Instructional Communications Systems (ICS) at University of Wisconsin-Extension (UWEX). She has more than 30 years experience in media production, design elements and professional development. Rosemary has worked with UWEX for 17 years in the area of distance teaching and learning. At ICS she conducts audioconferencing, webconferencing, videoconferencing, and webcasting sessions on learning design; creates and publishes professional development materials; teaches via blended technologies; keynotes/presents at conferences; and organizes/facilitates workshops/conferences/webinars. Rosemary is the author of articles, book chapters, and several books, most recently, the co-authored 147 Practical Tips for Synchronous and Blended Technology Teaching and Learning (Atwood Publishing). She received the 2005 UWEX Award for Leadership and Distance Education and was recently selected to be the UWEX 2009-10 Office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID) Teaching Scholar.

Wesley Leonard is Senior Application Programmer at Central Michigan University's College of Health Professions where he is responsible for developing and maintaining custom software applications with a focus on faculty research. He has developed and maintained web-based data collection, data conversion/analysis and process automation tools. Wesley is also the coordinator of the college's virtual reality lab and recently established an interdisciplinary Virtual Reality Center to encourage faculty from across campus to utilize motion capture, 3D visualization and other virtual reality technologies in their research. In his spare time Wesley serves as the Mediasite User Group's webmaster and, along with Mike Hinko, was a founding member of the MUG.

Molly McGlone is Assistant Director of the College of Letters and Science Honors Program. The program serves 1,700 students who are pursuing honors in the liberal arts, honors in the major and comprehensive honors degrees. Molly advises students in the Honors Program, promotes curricular development of new honors courses and programs and coordinates the efforts of eight Honors Advisors. The Honors Program provides a place for students to reflect on their learning process, to consider their career and life goals in relation to their interests and abilities and to challenge their ideas and assumptions in a supportive environment. In addition to advising services, the program offers research opportunities, grants, scholarships and co-curricular activities throughout the academic year.

John McGuinness is a media and communications specialist and currently serves as Director of the Department of Television and Photographic Services at the University of Oklahoma-Oklahoma City. Since 1985, John has worked closely with healthcare professionals to develop techniques and modalities that enhance learning and communications. In 1992, he collaborated with the OU College of Nursing to develop an interactive distance education program to deliver nursing courses to multiple locations throughout Oklahoma. John has also provided consultative and technical support to numerous projects for the Geriatric Education Center and serves as technical advisor for several grant projects in the OU Department of Pediatrics. John received a B.S. in Speech Education and Communications from Oklahoma City University and has continued his education at various workshops in television and photography. He earned honors for his creative work including OKC Addy, Red Earth Film Festivals and the American Library Association.

He is the creator of the distance education program where he transformed what was originally a small grant proposal with a $3000 a year budget, into a full academic department that offers 20 graduate classes each semester and generates approximately $800,000 a year annually in tuitions and revenues. Beyond the technical design of the distance education facilities, Sean brought validity to distance education through on-going metrics and studies showing that the technologies of today not only improve the way distance learners receive their courses, but also improve the way the traditional in-class student learns as well. Outside of work, Sean is an accomplished musician, athlete, public speaker, traveler and pilot.
